About Redwell Writers
The Redwell Writers writing group was originally set up in 2006 by a local author and then subsequently run by its own members. It was named from its original meeting place in an office off Redwell Street (near the top of Elm Hill), in Norwich - the original UK city of that name!
Until 2020 (and COVID-19!) the group used to meet in each other's houses once a fortnight. Since March 2020 we tried a number of online meetings though these were never as successful as the face-to-face meetings. However, as many of us are now in the next stage of writing and are out and about promoting our books, the meetings have essentially stopped occurring.
Given that Norwich is a recognised literary centre, we would recommend anyone wanting to join a writing group to come along to the social events that are run by the National Centre for Writing at Dragon Hall in King Street, Norwich. There you will meet many like-minded people and should be able to find a group suitable to your needs. Good luck!
Many of our members, past and present, have had books published. Please take a look at the Publications page for the current list.
Please Note
We do NOT review work/novels/manuscripts etc. for others so please do not send us or ask us to review stories/books/poetry unless you already are or have been a member in the past.
